It’s Election Time

For once, and maybe for the first time, our votes here in Illinois look like they will actually matter in the presidential primaries. All too often in the past, races were decided before we had our say. There are a lot of candidates on both sides of the ledger. Take the time to get educated. But don’t forget that there are also races for the United States Congress, the State Legislature and many local governments. The Internet is a great way to learn who the candidates are and what they believe. Get a sample ballot, review the races you will vote in and get informed. Democracy is a gift and we should exercise its privileges every chance we get.
