We are acutely aware of the daily changes which have been taking place due to the current COVID-19 outbreak and due to the fluidity of the circumstances we will continue to adjust on a daily basis to ensure that we stay abreast of the situation.  Due to the size of our office, we are still working in the office on a daily basis, but depending upon the circumstances may switch to remote work in the event it is determined to be appropriate.

Our office does want to reassure our client and colleagues that there is no disruption to our services despite the COVID-19 outbreak and that our firm is fully operational.  We intend to ensure there is no change to our availability and our services as we intend to remain attendant to our clients needs.  We will conduct meetings by telephone.  We are available by telephone and email.  Our staff will be available as normal.  Our ability to receive and send physical mail will continue to be available.

With regard to any scheduled court matters, please be advised that the Chief Judge of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Lake County has entered an order providing that all matters are rescheduled and continued for 28 days from the originally scheduled court date, or any other date that may be set by subsequent Order of the Chief Judge.  The Circuit Court of Lake County will not be in session at the courthouses except to hear emergencies in civil cases or for certain categories of criminal cases.  There will be an emergency judge in the Domestic Relations Division presiding in Courtroom C-105, to hear emergencies related to Orders of Protection, Emergency child Support or other matters deemed by statute and rule to be emergencies.

Our office will continue to provide any updates as to how the Circuit Court’s decisions will impact your case.  In the event you have any questions regarding your case specifically and how this impacts your case, please contact us via telephone or email.

Please stay safe and healthy during this time.  Your anticipated cooperation and patience is greatly appreciated.
