Alternative Dispute Resolution

Why can’t we all just get along? All too often these days, attorneys seem intent on litigating everything to the hilt. Little or no consideration is given to the big picture and whether the cost of litigation will negate or minimize the results of even the most successful lawsuit. Our firm strongly believes that litigation is the last resort. If a case can’t be settled, mediation or arbitration should be considered. Arbitration provides a hearing much like a trial but without multiple appearances before the hearing officer and with much simpler discovery rules. Mediation entails hiring a neutral to try and facilitate an amicable resolution. Both methods typically end cases faster and for less expense. We have a trained and certified mediator in our firm and encourage our clients to ask us about the best way to resolve their dispute.
